A Toronto Star survey in 2000 found that 75% of Canadians use some form of "alternative" health care spending approx. 3 billion dollars annually on these treatments.  Given declining budgets and doctor shortages, individuals are more willing to take responsibility for their health using preventative and holistic approaches. We are pleased to provide you with a glossary of terms in each category to help you explore options you may not know exist. Some modalities are even covered under extended health care insurance. As with any business or service it is important to ask questions and to be informed.

Our Mission

Our goal is to bring the complementary health care providers and services together in the form of a user friendly web site and booklet. The booklet will be FREE to the public and available at health food stores and any of the advertisers who wish to make it available to their clients.

The directory will be chocked full of informative articles and short intros to the listing categories along with you, the advertiser, showcasing your service.

Health Wise Directory will also be promoted on

91.3FM Bluewater Radio's, Health Wise program,

hosted by Maggie Horvath, heard Mondays from 6 to 7 pm.
